Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House Hosts Three Activities for Heritage Day on Saturday
SINT MARTIN (FRENCH QUARTER) - Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House will host three free activities on the morning of Saturday, September 20th. The Les Fruits de Mer association will lead a guided tour of the Amuseum at 10am. The Société d'Histoire de Saint-Martin will present exhibits about St. Martiners in WWI, WWII and the Algerian War in two sessions, at 9am and 11am. The Soualiwomen Kultural Association (SKA) will give two demonstrations of traditional johnny cake baking at 9am and 10:30am. All of the activities are free. With this Regional Mental Healthcare Report for the Caribbean, the Dutch Caribbean Mental Health Federation (DCMH) presents a first: a clear and comparable picture of the nature and extent of mental health problems in the region. WYCCF Hosts First-Ever Dementia Awareness Walkathon
SINT MAARTEN (ST. JOHN’S ESTATE) - The White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation (WYCCF) proudly hosted the first edition of its Dementia Awareness Walkathon this past Saturday, September 6th. At exactly 6:00 AM, fifty-five enthusiastic participants set off from the St. Martin’s Home, following a route along L.B. Scot Road, Bush Road, Zagersgut Road, and Coralita Road, before returning to the WYCCF.
