THE NETHERLANDS (THE HAGUE) – Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten, Drs. Gracita R. Arrindell, recently met with State Secretary for Digital Economy and Sovereignty, Willemijn Aerdts for an introductory meeting at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. State Secretary Aerdts is holding a series of separate meetings with Ministers Plenipotentiary of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten to discuss matters of mutual interest. The discussions centred on developments in digitalisation, economic cooperation and future modalities for collaboration. Washington’s winning photograph captures wooden gazebos in Emilio Wilson Park surrounded by greenery and blooming flamboyant trees, with the island’s mountainous landscape visible in the background. SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The International Panel on Deltas and Coastal Areas (IPDC), on behalf of its partner organisations, today announced the successful completion of data rescue and digitisation activities for the historical meteorological archives of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. By preserving historical data, policy-advisors now have critical insights into long-term weather trends that contribute to more accurate climate projections for the islands. This achievement is the result of a unique collaboration between the national meteorological services of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands.
