Gracita Arrindell attended the U.S. Independence Day Reception hosted by the U.S. Mission to the Netherlands at the Louwman Museum in The Hague. This year's celebration was particularly significant as it marked Freedom 250, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. Held under the theme Freedom 250, the reception celebrated not only a defining moment in American history but also more than two centuries of friendship between the United States and the Netherlands. 84 persons obtain Dutch Citizenship during third Naturalization Ceremonies of 2026
SINT MAARTEN (HARBOUR VIEW) - On Tuesday June 23, 2026, the third naturalization ceremonies of 2026 were held at the Cabinet of the Governor of Sint Maarten. During two separate ceremonies, a total of 84 individuals took the declaration of allegiance before the Governor of Sint Maarten, His Excellency Mr. Ajamu G. Baly, and in so doing formally obtained their Dutch citizenship. The newly declared Dutch citizens represent 18 different nationalities across the community of Sint Maarten. The youngest was 6 years and the oldest was 83 years.
