SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY, (DCOMM) – According to the Meteorological Department of Sint Maarten (MDS), a tropical wave moving towards the Lesser Antilles has a chance of development over the next few days but currently does not pose a direct threat to the country. FAVE Opens 2026–2027 Academic Year Under the Theme “The Power of Us”

MPs Pay Working Visit to the new Sint Maarten General Hospital Site
SINT MAARTEN (CAY HILL) - On Thursday, August 13, 2026, Members of Parliament of the Committee of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (CVSA) conducted a working visit to the Sint Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) construction site. During the visit, the Committee received a presentation from St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Felix Holiday, and SMGH Project Manager, Mr. Henk de Zeeuw, who provided an overview of the hospital's layout and an update on the project's progress.
