NWO launches new awards for impact, open science and team science. Nominate researchers in the Caribbean
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The world of science offers many prestigious prizes, from the Nobel Prize to the Spinoza and Stevin Prizes. These prizes reward pioneering researchers and push their work further. But some themes — and the researchers behind them — still lack a stage. NWO (Dutch Research Council) is closing that gap with the new NWO Awards. Researchers in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius and Sint Maarten can be nominated too. Two Shot in early Friday morning shooting. Gunman on the Run
SINT MAARTEN (CAY BAY) - The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, at a bar located on Windsor Road in Cay Bay area. Preliminary investigation indicates that a suspect, dressed entirely in black and armed with a handgun, entered the establishment and attempted to rob an individual inside the bar. During the incident, a struggle ensued, after which the suspect discharged several rounds before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
