SYNOPSIS: 

The Atlantic high pressure system will maintain light to moderate winds across the local region. Also, a frontal trough will account for cloudiness and showers during this forecast period. 

Meanwhile, seas are expected to remain moderate during the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.

SPECIAL FEATURE:  …Tropical Storm Otto forms over the south western Caribbean… At 5:00 pm Otto was stationary at about 1180 miles west southwest of St. Maarten, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph. This system poses no threat to St. Maarten; however the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will monitor its progress.
