Tonight through Saturday evening: East-northeast to east with a moderate to fresh breeze of 13 to 24 mph, with higher gusts possible.

SYNOPSIS: 

The strengthening Atlantic high pressure system will increase wind speeds across  the region from tomorrow. Moisture and low-level clouds moving with the brisk wind flow are expected to cause cloudiness and scattered showers, the latter part of Saturday, across the local area. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding should take precautions as street-flooding is possible.

As a result of the increasing trade winds, marine conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout this weekend. Moderate to rough seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 10 feet. Further deterioration is expected on Sunday, and seas are expected with waves peaking near 13 feet in easterly swells. A small craft advisory for rough seas and high winds will be in effect from tomorrow through at least the first part of the upcoming week. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
