Tonight through Sunday evening: Northerly to easterly with a light to moderate breeze of 04 t0 14 mph. 

      

SYNOPSIS:       

The strengthening Atlantic high-pressure ridge will account for an increase in winds which will support hazardous sea conditions. Meanwhile, patches of clouds transported across the region could trigger a few brief showers.  

Long period, northerly swells will continue to keep seas elevated throughout the weekend. These swells may produce seas up to 12 feet in some places. The highest wave action is expected over Atlantic waters, particularly along the northern coasts. A small craft and a high surf warning remain in effect for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise extreme caution and avoid operating or swimming where wave action is highest.
