Tonight: Northeast to east with a gentle to moderate breeze of 09 to 18 mph and higher gusts possible.

SYNOPSIS:    

A tightened pressure gradient is generating brisk winds across the region. Meanwhile, varying concentrations of Saharan dust continues to restrict rainfall activity. However, moisture associated with an approaching weak tropical wave will account for an increase in cloudiness and showers across St. Maarten. 

Sea condition are deteriorating, rough waves up to 8 feet can be expected during this forecast period. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
