SYNOPSIS:      

The Atlantic high-pressure ridge is producing brisk winds across the region. Moisture embedded within the wind flow is forecast to push occasional, passing showers across the local area. 

Marine conditions will be slight to moderate for the next several days. 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to Moderate            WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 5 feet    

SPECIAL FEATURES: A weak area of low pressure has formed along a tropical wave located a few hundred miles south-southeast of St Maarten. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with this low is limited. Increasing upper-level  

winds are likely to prevent further development of this system. 

THIS DISTURBANCE DOES NOT POSE A DIRECT THREAT TO ST MAARTEN.  

OUTLOOK through Friday evening: Partly cloudy and slightly hazy. Sky conditions may become cloudy at times with isolated showers.
