SYNOPSIS:      

The Atlantic high-pressure ridge is expected to produce gentle to moderate winds across the region. Moisture embedded within the wind flow may cause some passing showers. However, Friday night into Saturday, an upper-level trough in combination with a moisture increase associated with a weak tropical wave will increase the chances of showers and thunderstorm activity. 

Marine conditions will be slight to moderate for the next few days.  

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to Moderate       WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feet    

SPECIAL FEATURES: A strong tropical wave located off the African coast is producing a broad area of showers and thunderstorms. As the system moves west-northwestward into the central Atlantic Ocean, conditions appear only marginally conducive for development due to relatively cool ocean temperatures. However, a small tropical depression could still form by early next week.   

MDS WILL MONITOR THIS SYSTEM AND UPDATE THE PUBLIC ACCORDINGLY.
