Tonight through Monday evening: Easterly to northeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 16 mph. 

SYNOPSIS:    

A relatively drier and more stable atmosphere will continue to limit shower activity. Meanwhile, the Atlantic high-pressure system will maintain light to moderate winds across the region. 
Seas are expected to peak at 7 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution. 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate        WAVES/SWELLS: 5 to 7 feet  

SPECIAL FEATURES: 
1. An area of low pressure located several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. The system is moving toward west-northwestward and could become a tropical depression over the next few days. This disturbance is expected to reach the Lesser Antilles late Monday and could bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds.  

Residents of St. Maarten should monitor the progress of this system.  

2. Shower and thunderstorm activities associated with an area of low pressure located near the central tropical Atlantic have decreased. However, this system could become a tropical depression later this week as it moves toward the west southwest or west.

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor these systems and update the public accordingly. 

OUTLOOK through Tuesday evening: Partly cloudy at first, becoming increasingly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
