Tonight through Tuesday evening: Variable and light, becoming calm at times.    

SYNOPSIS:   
Despite a relatively stable atmosphere, the effects of diurnal heating and available moisture may lead to the formation of some localized showers. Some of these showers could be moderate to heavy. Additionally, the loose surface pressure gradient will maintain mostly light winds.   

Marine conditions will remain slight during the next few days.     

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight         WAVES/SWELLS: 2 to 4 feet     

SPECIAL FEATURES:   

Satellite data indicates that an area of low pressure has formed over the far eastern Tropical Atlantic in association with a tropical wave that recently moved off the west coast of Africa. Environmental conditions are conducive for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days while the system moves west-northwestward over the eastern Atlantic. 

Based on early model runs, this system is expected to turn northwest and then northward as it approaches the central tropical Atlantic.  

The Meteorological Department will continue to monitor this system and update the public accordingly.
