Tonight through Wednesday evening: East northeast to southeasterly with a light to moderate breeze of 05 to 14 mph and higher gusts possible. 

SYNOPSIS:   

Moisture and instability in wake of a tropical wave is predicted to produce isolated showers with the possibility for a few isolated thunderstorms during this forecast period. A gradual improvement is expected as time progress. 

Seas are currently subsiding. Tranquil marine conditions are expected for the next couple days.  

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight        WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 4 feet  

SPECIAL FEATURES: 
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a low-pressure area located just west of the African coast is likely to develop into a tropical depression during the next couple of days. 

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this system and update the public accordingly. 

OUTLOOK through Thursday evening: Partly cloudy and hazy with brief isolated showers possible.
