SYNOPSIS:    

A tropical wave approaching the region is predicted to generate increased cloudiness, showers that may become moderate to heavy at times, and possible isolated thunderstorms. Meanwhile, decreasing Saharan dust will continue to affect air quality. Persons with allergies and respiratory illnesses should continue taking precautions.  

Brisk winds will account for elevated marine conditions. Seas are forecast to peak up to 8 feet during the next 24 hours. Accordingly, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
