SPECIAL FEATURE:
At 5:00 PM, Tropical Wave (AL93) strengthened into Tropical Storm Humberto, located approximately 556 miles east northeast of St. Maarten. Humberto is moving west-northwest at 15 mph. This general motion is expected to continue over the next several days, with a gradual decrease in forward speed.
The system is forecast to pass about 415 miles northeast of St. Maarten. At this time, Humberto is not expected to pose a direct threat to the island.
