Delegation of fire service experts visits Saba

SABA (THE BOTTOM) - This week, a Dutch delegation of fire service and crisis management experts visited Saba for consultations with local partners on the further development of fire services and crisis management on the island. The visit focused on strengthening the fire service organization and drawing up a future-proof coverage plan.
In cooperation with the Fire Department Caribbean Netherlands (Brandweerkorps Caribisch Nederland), the delegation held talks with various stakeholders, including representatives from the airport, harbor, tourism, spatial planning, and the public entity.
In addition, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Island Governor Jonathan Johnson. During this meeting, discussions were held on cooperation between the parties involved and current developments on the island.
With this visit, the parties involved are jointly taking steps toward a safe and well-prepared community on Saba, both now and in the future.
