Increased moisture and instability associated with a nearby multi-layered trough of low pressure will account for cloudy skies and scattered, yet intermittent showers. Some of these showers may be heavy and can be accompanied by thunder. Caution is advised in low-lying and flood-prone areas due to possible street-flooding and/or rock-slides throughout the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the concentration of Saharan dust will continue to fluctuate, along with its impact. Those with allergies and/or respiratory illnesses should remain aware.
Moderate to rough seas are expected, with wave heights peaking near 8 feet during the overnight to early morning hours. Small-craft operators and swimmers should continue to exercise caution.
