SYNOPSIS: 

Moisture and instability associated with a low level disturbance will cause cloudy periods and isolated showers, some of which could be heavy, over the local region during this forecast period.

Seas are forecast to remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

SPECIAL FEATURE:  An area of showers and thunders, located about 275 miles east of the Leeward Islands, is moving toward the west northwest. This system has a low chance for formation during the next 5 days. Regardless of development this system will increase the chances for inclement weather this weekend. The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will monitor the progress of this system.

A large disorganized area of disturbed weather, associated with a tropical wave, is located about 600 miles southwest of Cape Verde Islands. Though short term conditions are expected to remain unfavorable for development, long term forecasts give this system a medium chance for formation.
