SYNOPSIS: 

Apart from possible brief local showers, generally fair conditions are expected as the dominant Atlantic high pressure ridge maintain a dry and stable air mass across the region. Meanwhile, seas are forecast to remain slight for the next few days.

SPECIAL FEATURES:  
At 5pm, Tropical Depression Twelve, was located about 2000 miles East of the Leeward Islands moving toward the west at 13 mph. It has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, little change in strength is expected for the next couple days.

At 5pm, Julia was again a Tropical Storm with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. It is expected to meander off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina for the next few days. 
This system is drifting towards the east and does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.

At 5pm, Tropical Storm Ian was accelerating northeastward over the Central Atlantic and is expected to intensify as it becomes post-tropical by Friday. This system does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of these systems.

OUTLOOK through Saturday evening: Fair to partly cloudy with passing showers possible.
