SYNOPSIS: 

Stable conditions will gradually return, as an upper level disturbance moves west away from the region. Nevertheless, weak instability and lingering low level moisture can produce cloudy periods with isolated showers.  
Seas will remain slight for the next 24 hours. Subsequently, a deterioration is expected fromTuesday.

SPECIAL FEATURES:  
At 5pm, Tropical Storm Karl was located about 1110 miles east of the Leeward Islands. Karl is moving towards the west at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds near 40 mph. Karl is predicted to begin strengthening later tonight or tomorrow, Monday. This system is forecast to pass north of the Lesser Antilles midweek and residents are advised to keep updated on its progress.

Tropical Depression Julia is moving northwestward and continues to generate heavy rainfall off the south eastern coast of the United States.

Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms continue near an area of low pressure located in the eastern Atlantic. This system has a high, 80% chance for development during the next 5 days. 
 
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of these systems.
