Two men arrested for illegal drugs and fire-arm possession

DUTCH QUARTER - On Friday December 12th at approximately 09.00 p.m. during a general control between the Customs Department and the Police Department, a blue Hyundai Accent with license plate 3026AAA in which two men were driving was stopped in the vicinity of Mc Donald’s in Dutch Quarter.
During the control of the vehicle and its occupants several small plastic bags containing a small amount of marihuana and other drugs paraphernalia were found and confiscated.
During a search of the passenger a loaded .40 caliber pistol was found tucked in his waist. This weapon was also confiscated for further investigation. The suspects, with initials R.R. (24), and T.M.R. (39), were arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg Police Department where they remain in custody for further investigation. (Police Force Sint Maarten)
