SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) – Produce Wealth Revolution Agency (aka “The PWR Agency”) hosted a breakfast discussion with key stakeholders under the topic “Do Business in Paradise: Challenges and Opportunities”.
This breakfast shared the initial details of a six (6) week regional accelerator program that will take place November 5- December 15, 2018. This program called “360: Do Business in Paradise” will be done on St. Maarten, Curacao, Aruba, Anguilla, and Suriname concurrently ad is designed to help grow potentially disruptive resilient businesses and empower 21st century-oriented entrepreneurs.
This program will end with the 360 Gala Awards on December 15 on St. Maarten bringing together the entrepreneurs from the various islands and includes a pitch competition.
This invite only breakfast included keynote speakers Dr. Jamal Cummins, son of the soil who recently launched his book on St. Maarten, 31 days of Wise Dominion, Dr. Vernet A Joseph, a leading global productivity strategist, and Dr. Will Moreland, #1 Leadership Life Trainer in the US. Both Dr. Joseph and Dr. Moreland have been to St. Maarten before helping to develop entrepreneurs and working with community and government leaders.
In the aftermath of the devastating hurricanes of 2017, they observed the resilience of the people of St. Maarten and worked with I Change Nations (ICN), a global organization connected with the United Nations, to honor several local persons who have shown exemplary work.
I Change Nations is dedicated to building a culture of honor and is focused on promoting civility, peace and sustainable development. Dr. Joseph is an ICN Senior Advisor World Civility Ambassador and represented, Dr. Clyde Rivers the founder of ICN, in giving out these prestigious global awards to residents and dignitaries.
Mr. Marvio A. Cooks, a civil servant and community leader in the area of technology, received the ICN Regional Statesman Award for his dedication to helping others in the aftermath of the hurricanes.
Ms. Alita Singh, a media specialist, was appointed the ICN Community Ambassador and received the Women Add Value Award for her commitment to informing the public accurately of the issues and her community influence through media and social endeavours.
Mr. Anastacio Baker, the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an entrepreneur, received the ICN Golden Rule Business Award for his impact to the business community.
Mr. Stanley Lint, president of board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry received this award on Mr. Baker’s behalf. Ife Badejo, an innovator and speaker, received the ICN Women of Global Solutions Award for her commitment to finding innovative solutions.
Ms. Badejo also received John A.M. Sandiford’s award on his behalf as he was not yet on the island. Mr. Sandiford received the ICN Global Leadership Award for his work in the Netherlands to help better the Caribbean region.
