SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Collective Prevention Services (CPS) is excited to restart the information sessions under the title, "Bump to Baby: baby care 101”. The need information is there and persons sometimes feel uncomfortable asking, because they wondering if these same problems others are faced with.

These sessions aim to provide expectant and new mothers with a supportive space to learn, ask questions, and gain confidence in baby care and parenting skills. We will have a welcoming environment where CPS nurses and professionals in different areas are available to provide expert guidance and hands-on instruction for all attendees.

The first workshop was held on the September 5th, 2024, which was led by Mr. Gesner Orlando Simon, a midwife-in-training with extensive knowledge in maternal health and newborn care. His expertise, combined with the support of CPS's nurses ensured that participants received valuable insights and practical advice.

These sessions reflect CPS's ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of care for the people of Sint Maarten. "Bump to Baby" not only educates new and expectant parents but also fosters community awareness, offering a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and supporting one another through the transformative journey of parenthood.

New parents can connect with others who are going through the same experiences, providing emotional support and reassurance during this exciting yet sometimes overwhelming phase of life.

CPS proudly reminds the community that "Your Health is Our Priority." The next information session will be held in November. Look out for our save the date. Don’t forget to visit us at our upcoming Mom’s Fair on October 19,2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the John Larmonie Center.
