Toastmasters Area 40 Division I Celebrates Toastmasters Centennial with Exciting Scavenger Hunt, Speeches, and Games

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Area 40 Division I, District 81 of Toastmasters International commemorated the 100th anniversary of Toastmasters with an unforgettable celebration on October 27, 2024. Members gathered for an engaging day filled with a scavenger hunt, inspiring speeches, and a series of interactive games, all designed to reflect the spirit of personal growth and leadership that Toastmasters has promoted for a century.

The event opened with a scavenger hunt, which started at the APS parking lot in Philipsburg and ended at the Emilio Wilson Park, which encouraged teamwork and tested members’ knowledge of Toastmasters history. Participants competed to find clues and solve puzzles related to Toastmasters’ mission and milestones, reinforcing the organization’s legacy of communication and leadership.

The celebration also featured speeches from long-time members and emerging leaders within Area 40 Division I. These speeches, focused on the transformative power of Toastmasters, highlighting the impact of the organization on individuals’ confidence, public speaking abilities, and career successes. Attendees were inspired by stories of personal and professional growth, as well as by reflections on the organization’s century-long journey.

The day concluded with a variety of fun, team-building games that brought members together, blending learning with camaraderie.

Area 40 Division I’s Centennial Celebration not only honored Toastmasters past achievements but also looked forward to a promising future.
