PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – "We congratulate the Dutch National Soccer team and all the fans on their third place finish at the World Cup Games on Saturday in Brazil," remarked the United People’s (UP) Party Board on Saturday.
The Dutch National Soccer team placed third place after a victorious game against the host-country Brazil for the Soccer World Cup 2014.
"Local fans have enjoyed game after game of the World Cup 2014 throughout the island as many of us cheered on the Orange team," said the UP Board.
"After the last game all Dutch soccer fans can proudly claim onto the victory with an exciting ending.
"We strongly encourage this same heart and spirit for all sports on our island," concluded the UP Board.
