Judgment in the case of Themis defendant U.L.W. on September 23

SINT MAARTEN/CURACAO - On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 08:30 (local time in Curaçao, 14:30 CET) the Court of First Instance of Curaçao will rule in the criminal case against defendant U.L.W.
The verdict will take place in the presence of the judge and the clerks, who are in the Netherlands at that time, in the high-security courtroom of the Penitentiary Institution (PI) in Vught.
Representatives of the Public Prosecution Service and the defense will also be physically present. In Curaçao and Sint Maarten, the judgment can be followed live via a video link. No advance registration is required for these locations.
A limited number of places are available for the extra secure courtroom in Vught. A maximum of eight (8) journalists can be physically present here. Due to its location on the grounds of the PI, this courtroom is not accessible to the public. For other interested parties in the Netherlands, including the public, an alternative hearing location has been set up in the Schiphol Judicial Complex (JCS), located at: Duizendbladweg 100, 1171 VA Badhoevedorp.
The verdict will be followed there via video link.
