KPSM responds to a fire on Friday morning that destroys a small wooden house

SINT MAARTEN (MIDDLE REGION) - Today, August 7th, approximately 11:20 am the KPSM central dispatched center received several calls reporting a fire in the Middle Region area.
A KPSM patrol unit responded and arrived in the vicinity of Brill Road in Middle Region, where a parcel of land was found to be on fire. Shortly thereafter, the fire department arrived and began efforts to extinguish the blaze.
During the firefighting efforts, a small wooden house was destroyed before the fire could be brought under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The circumstances surrounding the fire are being assessed, and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
