SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - On, Thursday, June 4, 2026, the Parliament of Sint Maarten attended the Prins Willem Alexander School's 2026 Annual Career Fair at the invitation of the school. Students received a presentation from the Vice-President (VP) of Parliament, Christopher Wever, on the role, structure, and functioning of Parliament. Gracita Arrindell attended the official opening of the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) at the House of Representatives of the Netherlands in The Hague. Youth Vaccination Outreaches set for this Saturday and July 9. Check Your Child’s Vaccination Records
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY, (DCOMM) – The Collective Prevention Services (CPS), a department within the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), through its Youth Health Care Baby Wellness Clinic has planned several vaccine outreaches for members of the community for the month of June and July. The vaccine outreaches are geared primarily towards children who have not yet gotten their vaccines. If parents have missed recent appointments for vaccines, CPS encourages them to make use of this opportunity for children from two months to 17-years-old. Parliamentary delegations conclude June 2026 IPKO
THE NETHERLANDS (THE HAGUE) - On Monday, June 8, 2026, the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultations (IPKO) continued with a follow-up session on climate adaptation. Delegations from the Parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the Netherlands participated in an interactive session with the National Citizens’ Assembly on Climate (Nationaal Burgerberaad Klimaat). During the session, participants were provided with an overview of the Assembly’s establishment, mandate, and working process. Delegates also took part in several breakout discussions and activities focused on the Assembly’s methodology and the development of its report and recommendations.
