MP Wescot-Williams Calls for Respect for Sint Maarten and a Shared National Vision

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Wescot-Williams has issued a call for renewed national purpose in the new year, urging citizens and leadership alike to embrace responsibility, participation, and respect for Sint Maarten as the foundation for progress. “As we enter a new year, hope and resilience remain important,” Wescot-Williams said. “But this moment also calls for realism and responsibility. Prime Minister’s New Year’s Message 2026

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) – New Year’s Message from the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten Hon. Dr. Luc Mercelina: Fellow citizens of St. Maarten, As we step into 2026, I extend warm wishes of health, strength, and renewed hope to every household across our island and to all St. Maarteners abroad who carry this country in their hearts. Yet, time and again, the people of St. Maarten proved that we do not bend—we build. In 2025, we laid foundations. Foundations for greater...

Prime Minister Mercelina: eSXM Digital Government Transformation

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - At its core, digital transformation is about strengthening how government works as a whole: setting the right rules, building shared digital platforms, and delivering public services that are simple to access, secure to use, and designed around the needs of people and businesses. On Sint Maarten, this vision is becoming reality through the Digital Government Transformation Project, led by the Digital Leadership Team. Real progress is already visible. A government-wide address system has been implemented, and soon address data will be unified across institutions, replacing fragmented records with a single, reliable reference that improves coordination, service delivery, and emergency response. Public servants continue to receive cybersecurity training, strengthening our ability to protect systems and data in an...
